They are the shortest lived of the half-elves, with average lifespans of 60 years (75 being incredibly ancient).  They tend to be tall and wiry, but a lot of muscle tone.  Half-snow elves of non Toril worlds have light brown or tan skin, blond hair, and silver to blue eyes.  Those on Toril have paler skin which is almost white and often has blue undertones. Their eyes are always blue. The males are tall at 5ft 8 to 6 ft 8; females 2 or 3 inches shorter. However the males are of a much heavier build at 120 to 150 lbs while the females are 20 lbs lighter.
They are extremely rare, since few humans travel to the arctic just to meet snow elves.  Many of the snow elven parents are male, with the female traveling home to give birth.  There are few, if any, half-snow elves in the arctic communities.

Half-elves  who have snow-elven parents sometimes take up the career of a  bard.  Though such characters wander widely, they are shunned by snow elves  for  their human "taint." These bards are almost legendary to other  races due to  their rarity. They often play an instrument used  to some degree by nearly all  snow elves. The keras (Keh-rahz)  is a large instrument very similar to the  alpenhorn used by Swiss  shepherds. Keras range in size from 4' to just under 20'  and are  usually made of wood (although the best are said to be constructed  from  the tusk of the wooly mammoth) with bone mouthpieces. In  their native  environment, snow-elven clans often use keras to  communicate across vast  distances, having developed a complex  code for signaling. Some of the largest of  these instruments may  be found at the shrines and are sounded only in times of  great  need or grand celebration. The bards use the smaller versions of  the keras  to play mournful and powerful ballads as majestic and  sad as the mountains  themselves.

Typically, they are druids, fighters, rangers, or mages.  There are more female mages than male, and the reverse hold true for the other classes.  Those who are mages tend to be Cryomancers, Ecomancers, or Aquamancers.  Pyromancers are almost unheard of.

A half snow elf has a life expectancy a little shorter than a human. They are adult at about 16, middle aged at 30, old at 45 and extremely old over 60.
