There are
several different shield types to use, as the heraldic shield changed
throughout the centuries, from the shield used in battle, to the notched
tourney shield and beyond. Included is the lozenge, utilized by women,
who would not carry a shield into battle.
Please note there I've included several different file
types to chose from, to help aid in your own heraldry construction.
The thumbnails are.gif, which are transparent, and good for use on the
web. Also included are .jpg, which are not transparent, good for web,
but like .gif, are not very high quality raster images and ai, which
are the native format for Adobe Illustrator, and are a high quality
vector format.
