Rising Winds Only Awards
Phoenix Tears' Only One Time Awards
Award Notes

I was given this task to create pirate themed awards for my duchy, and I wanted to make them something special. I thought that spelling words wrong on the awards would help in that whole pirate feel, as well as changing our heraldry around a bit, make it more piratey with a skull, ribbons, fancy shield, and cutlasses. Then I wanted to make the images used as piratey as possible. Ham it up. So for every type of award I tried to make it piratey, at the same time silly, as in the owl and 6th warrior, who have random pirate eye patches on them. I thought later it would of been better if the owl had two wooden legs and a parrot on it's shoulder, but I digress.

I decided that, in the style of people shipwrecked at sea, the cutest, if not the easiest thing to do would be put the awards rolled up in glass bottles, which they can later use as candle holders, or just trash em. So I made a label for the glass bottles.

Then we had a friend donate and drink a ton of Jones' Soda (they had the right kinda shape) and had a party drinking, cleaning, and pasting with rubber cement the labels onto the glass bottles. We also procured a few dozen via shopping at our local Fiar Tucks, which had in stock some brown bottles for beer making. We also burned the sides of the awards a bit.

Then my job was over, because I wasn't in office, and wasn't privy to who got what awards. They placed the person's name, and award, in the glass bottle.

I think the awards at the time were one of my coolest projects, perhaps because I convinced the local monarchy to do some weird things, but the populace seemed to like them a lot.
